Over the years, Dr. John Frauens established himself in Hawaii as a dedicated and highly capable orthopedic surgeon. He currently serves as an orthopedic consultant with the Hawaii Division of Corrections. After completing his MD at the Temple University School of Medicine, he became a resident in orthopedics at the University of Virginia Orthopedic Residency Program. Dr. John Frauens spent the early years of his career as a staff orthopedic surgeon with the Kaiser Permanente Medical Care Program in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Before long, Dr. John Frauens worked his way up to chief of the Department of Orthopedic Surgery with Kaiser, where he also served on the Executive Committee. He concurrently directed Total Joint Service, a Kaiser Permanente orthopedic practice located in Honolulu. Today, he leads SoftJoint, Inc., as its president and chief executive officer.
Aside from his professional activities, Dr. Frauens sits on the board of directors of Common Grace, a nonprofit organization dedicated to mentoring at-risk children.
